About the Artist

Cynthia earned her degree in Fine Art with a special concentration in Digital Art from George Mason University, and began selling her unique digital photo collages even before she graduated. Though this medium was fun and continues to be one of her favorites, she soon found she missed the physical connection to her work. Then began a period of exploration - first floorcloths, then etched glass, and finally beading and wire work quickly became her new passions, though she did not put aside her digital photographic collages. It was not until recently that she found the ideal way to blend the different parts of her artistic life. By combining her digital and jewelry arts, she could create a truly unique body of work. A great deal of experimentation in unusual materials and a lot of time later, her collage series of jewelry was born. Representing a fusion of digital and traditional techniques, Cynthia has high hopes for this new series as she transitions into being a full time artist.
